Custom Ski Cabin with Garage Under in Tannersville

Located in a community near a popular ski resort and waterpark, this 1,448 square foot vacation home posed some unique challenges. As excavation began, it was discovered that the soils on site contained an unusual amount of organic matter that would not properly support the foundations. Working closely with the owner, in-house design team and construction personnel, we came up with a plan to modify the foundation so that we would have less new soil and excavation work required. The owner ended up with an increased basement and basement garage height which would ultimately better facilitate the owners plan of finishing the basement at a future time. In the end, the 4-Bedroom and 2-Bath design provided spectacular views of the ski slopes from the deck and window wall giving these owners the perfect place to vacation as a family.
