An Addition Over a Garage in Marshall’s Creek

Growing kids with a shared bedroom was not an ideal situation for this young family. After reviewing options, it was decided that the most efficient and economical way to add extra bedrooms was to create an addition over the existing garage. By removing a storage closet we were able to create a connection to the second floor hallway that makes this addition feel like it was always part of the home. While constructing the addition, it was deemed necessary and more cost effective to replace the existing roof shingles, which were at the end of their functional life on the entire home rather than simply weaving in the roof of the addition.
